Advanced electrolysis is also known as non-surgical blemish removal or thermos- coagulation and is a very sought-after procedure. The treatment uses a tiny probe which directs a small electrical current to remove, treat and cauterise skin blemishes.
The following conditions can be treated with advanced electrolysis:
- Milia treatment – Appears pearly white, round, hard lump. Typically found around the eyes and cheeks.
- Skin tags – Slightly raised, moveable skin. Usually found on the neck, armpits, under the bust, and bottom.
- Warts/ Verruca’s– Small rough, hard, nodular growths. Can be found in clusters on hands, feet, and knees.
- Blood Spots— Blood trapped underneath a translucent layer of skin. Commonly found on the torso, face, arms, or legs.
- Thread Veins/ Telangiectasia– Appears as red or pink dilated capillary blood vessel. Commonly found on the face, ankles, and legs. 60-80% improvement.
- Sun damage/Pigmentation/ Age spots– Hyperpigmentation due to the overproduction of melanin. Usually associated with older skins and increase with exposure to UV rays.
- Sebaceous hyperplasia/cysts– Usually caused by a swollen hair follicle. Can be a genetically inherited condition.
- Seborrheic Keratosis– Pigmented growths and can be very light brown to very dark brown. Commonly found on the neck and torso.
- Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra– Can be slightly raised and rough to touch. Can also look like skin tags and their size can vary. Typically found on the neck, face, and torso.
- Xanthelasma– Blemish caused by cholesterol underneath the surface of the skin. Usually found on the eyelids, less commonly can be found anywhere on the body.
- Syringoma– Flesh/yellow-coloured bumps caused by blocked sweat ducts. Commonly found in clusters near the eye, armpits, chest, torso, or genital areas.
- Mole Removal- Can vary in shape, size, colour, and location. Moles can change or appear due to hormonal changes such as puberty, pregnancy, menopause, or a change in medication.
- Spider Navi– Appears as red or pink central blemish. Capillaries radiate from the centre. Usually found on the face, arms, hands, torso, or legs.
